Who We Are
A small, specialized team — by design
Austral Manufacturing Software is an engineering team based in Villa Mercedes, San Luis, Argentina, with experience in international industrial projects. We work at the intersection of software engineering and industrial process knowledge.
Being a small team means something concrete: you can follow a project from start to finish, participate in technical decisions, and understand the impact of your work. There are no layers between the work and the person doing it.

The problems we work on
Our work isn't just about writing code — we need to understand what happens in an operation and what decisions a system should support.
Turning production data into useful information
Raw data collected from equipment tells very little on its own. We build the context, calculations, and visualizations that transform it into something operations can act on.
Connecting industrial systems
Machines, sensors, PLCs, databases, and enterprise software rarely speak the same language. We design and build the integrations that make them work together reliably.
Understanding production losses and downtime
Before you can reduce downtime, you need to measure it accurately — with the right categories, granularity, and context. That work requires both technical and operational understanding.
Improving traceability and reporting
Knowing what was produced, with which materials, on which line, during which shift — and being able to show that — is increasingly critical for regulated industries and quality systems.
Developing interfaces that make work easier
An operator screen that's easy to read under pressure, a dashboard that shows the right number at the right time, a report that saves an engineer two hours every week — these are not minor details.
The technologies we work with
MES
A Manufacturing Execution System (MES) is the software that sits between an ERP and the plant floor — tracking what gets produced, how, and when.
SCADA
SCADA systems (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) monitor and control industrial processes in real time, collecting data from equipment, sensors, and production lines.
Historian
Industrial historians are specialized time-series databases that store production data — temperatures, pressures, flow rates, machine states — at high frequency and over long periods.
Learning & Development
Developing judgment, not just technical knowledge
Technical knowledge is necessary but not sufficient. We value the ability to understand a process, ask the right questions, test assumptions, document clearly, and take on responsibilities progressively.
Autonomy here doesn't mean working without support — it means taking ownership of a problem and seeing it through. Knowing when to ask for help is part of that.
